제 2차 세계대전에 대한 모든 것(Everything About World War II)

1939년 9월 1일은 제 2차 세계 대전이 발발했던 날입니다. 히틀러가 폴란드를 침공하였습니다.

 

제 1차 세계대전에서 진 독일은 엄청난 배상금을 물게 되어 경제가 엉망이 되었고 물건값이 하늘 높은 줄 모르고 뛰었습니다. 심지어 독일 국민들은 빵 한개를 사기 위해서 돈을 손수레에 싣고 가야 하는 정도가 되었습니다. 독일 국민들의 불만은 점점 높아졌고 보다 강력한 지도자가 나와 이런 사정이 나아지길 기대하였습니다. 히틀러는 1923년 쿠데타를 일으켰다가 감옥에 갇혔습니다. 그 후 1924년 나치당을 다시 만들고 뛰어난 연설로 가난에 지친 국민들의 마음을 붙들어 1932년 선거에서 승리한 다음 1934년 지도자, 대통령, 제국수상, 당 총재를 겸직하는 역사상 최고의 독재권력을 가지게 되었고 유럽을 통일하여 대제국을 건설하겠다는 꿈을 꾸게 됩니다. 드디어 1939년 9월 1일 히틀러의 군대는 폴란드에 공격을 개시함으로써 제 2차 세계대전을 일으켰고 폴란드에 이어 프랑스, 네덜란드, 벨기에, 유고슬라비아, 그리스를 차례로 점령하였습니다. 이 후 히틀러의 군대는 1941년 소련을 침공하지만 소련군의 저항과 혹독한 추위에 지친 독일군대는 스탈린그라드에서 소련군에게 무참히 패배하고 후퇴합니다. 1941년 12월 8일, 일본이 중립을 지키고 있던 미국의 하와이를 공습하자 미국은 엄청난 무기와 군대를 동원하여 전쟁에 참여하였습니다. 미국, 소련, 영국, 프랑스 등의 연합군은 이탈리아를 항복시켰으며 1944년 6월 6일 프랑스 노르망디 상륙작전을 성공시키며 독일을 몰아부치기 시작하였습니다. 1945년 5월 7일 독일은 항복합니다. 유럽에서 전쟁이 끝나자 미국을 중심으로 한 연합군은 마지막까지 전쟁을 포기하지 않는 일본군을 아시아와 태평양에서 밀어내기 시작하였ㅆ브니다. 일본이 항복을 거부하자 1945년 8월 6일과 9일 히로시마와 나가사키에 원자폭탄을 떨어뜨려 두 도시를 잿더미로 만들었습니다. 이에 놀란 일본은 1945년 8월 15일 무조건 항복을 선언하였습니다. 6년 동안 계속된 전쟁에서 군인과 민간인 약 6천만명이 목숨을 잃었고 원자폭탄을 비롯한 엄청난 위력을 가진 무기가 개발되기도 했지만 전쟁을 막으려는 인류의 노력은 국제연합을 탄생시키기도 하였습니다.

Finally, on September 1, 1939, Hitler's troops launched an attack on Poland, leading to World War II and occupying France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Yugoslavia, and Greece in turn. After that, Hitler's troops invaded the Soviet Union in 1941, but the German army, tired of Soviet resistance and severe cold, was defeated and retreated by Soviet forces in Stalingrad. On December 8, 1941, when Japan attacked Hawaii, the United States, which was neutral, the United States mobilized a huge amount of weapons and troops to participate in the war. Allied forces from the United States, the Soviet Union, Britain, France, etc. surrendered Italy and began to drive Germany on June 6, 1944, successfully landing in Normandy, France. On May 7, 1945, Germany surrendered. When the war ended in Europe, the U.S.-led coalition began to push back Japanese troops from Asia and the Pacific, who did not give up the war until the end. When Japan refused to surrender, atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945 and burned the two cities to ashes. Surprised by this, Japan declared unconditional surrender on August 15, 1945. In the six-year war, about 60 million soldiers and civilians were killed, and nuclear bombs and other powerful weapons were developed, but human efforts to stop the war also gave birth to the United Nations.
