 코로나 시대에 사람들이 찾는 여행지의 조건일 것이다. 이 조건을 갖춘 여행지가 있다. 바로 '경상북도 영덕'이다. 서울에서 영덕까지 당진-영덕 고속도로를 타고 가면 영덕에 도착할 수 있다. 금요일 반차를 내고 떠난 영덕에서의 2박 3일은 어떨까?

 

 내 머릿속의 '영덕'은 '울진 대게'에 밀려난 '제2의 대게' 고장의 이미지뿐이었다. 그러나 영덕의 바다를 본 순간 그런 생각은 씻은 듯이 사라졌다. 상상 그 이상이다.

 첫째, 영덕에 가면 투명한 옥빛 바다를 볼 수 있다. 스노클링, 스쿠버다이빙, 프리다이빙 등을 하고 싶다는 생각이 절로 들 것이다. 물 아래 일렁일렁이는 크로 작은 호박돌들도 직접 내 발로 밟아보고 시원해지는 파도 소리도 더 가까이서 듣고 싶어질 것이다. 영덕의 바다는 강원도 동해 바다와 다르고 제주도 한림 바다와는 또 다른 매력으로 매우 투명하고 맑다. 옥빛 바다에 감탄사가 끊이지 않을 것이다.

Second, you can take a walk in the wind power plant at dusk. One of the most beautiful places to see Korea's wind turbines is Mt. Maebong in Taebaek, Gangwon-do, and Woljeong-ri in Gujwa-eup, Jeju-do. However, there is also a wind power plant in Changpo-ri, Yeongdeok-eup.

If you go to Yeongdeok Wind Power Plant, there are 24 wind power generators, public relations centers, cafes, colorful sculptures, and attractions, and the trail is well-established, making it perfect for walking. When you think of a wind power plant, you will often think of a high mountain and a difficult place to access, but the wind power plant in Yeongdeok is located on a low mountain with a panoramic view of the sea. If you travel to Yeongdeok, it is recommended to see the sun rise on the Pacific horizon in the morning, walk on the Yeongdeok Blue Road, which makes the sound of waves cool during the day, and walk along the trail of Yeongdeok wind power plant at sunset. Could a trip be better than this with the charm of Yeongdeok, which makes the mind rich with breakfast, lunch and dinner?

Third, the last reason to travel Yeongdeok is because of the convenient facilities. There are good signs everywhere, so you don't need to look at your cell phone to see the map. All you have to do is walk to the place where the sign points to. There are so many public restrooms, but they are also clean. If you walk for a long time, you will get thirsty, but no matter how much water you drink, there are restrooms everywhere, so you don't have to worry.
