안네의 일기(Anne's diary)

1994년 8월 4일은 안네의 일기를 쓴 안네의 은신처가 독일군에게 발견된 날입니다. 안네 프랑크가 살던 시기는 제 2차 세계대전으로 세상이 온통 전쟁으로 휩싸여 있을 때였습니다. 전쟁을 일으킨 독일의 히틀러는 유대인 말살정책으로 많은 유대인들을 처형하거나 압박하였기 때문에 유대인이었던 안네 프랑크는 늘 숨어서 지내야 했습니다. 독일군의 눈을 피해 네덜란드의 낡은 건물 다락방에서 숨어지내던 안네 프랑크는 매일 일기를 쓰면서 두려움을 이겨 내었습니다. 안네 프랑크는 감수성이 예민하고 상상력이 풍부하였습니다. 결국 안네 프랑크는 독일군에게 발각되었고 강제 수용소 가스실에서 목숨을 잃었습니다. 하지만 안네의 일기는 독일군의 잔혹성을 알리고 평화를 바라는 마음이 잘 나타나있어 많은 사람들에게 감동을 주었습니다.   

 

August 4, 1994 was the day when Anne's hideout, who wrote Anne's diary, was found by the German army. Anne Frank lived in World War II when the world was engulfed in war. Germany's war-torn Hitler executed or pressured many Jews with a policy of exterminating Jews, so Anne Frank, a Jew, always had to hide. Anne Frank, hiding in the attic of an old building in the Netherlands to escape the eyes of the German army, overcame her fears by writing a diary every day. Anne Frank was sensitive and imaginative. Eventually, Anne Frank was discovered by the German army and lost her life in a concentration camp gas chamber. However, Anne's diary impressed many people because it showed the brutality of the German army and expressed the desire for peace.
